In this tutorial I will show you how to make your own stone floor material in Substance Painter for your project.
Material
Make a new Layer and rename it to Base
For a stylized material, use only the roughness and color Texture slots
Choose a Base Color and change the Roughness [#676E74]
Use CTRL + D to duplicate this Layer and rename the new Layer to Dirt
Change the color to a darker version of the Base [#3A4854]
Right-click and add a Black Mask
Right-click on the Black Mask and add a Generator
For the Generator, use a Mask Editor – changing the Curvature Opacity to 1
Right-click on the Black Mask and add Levels
Swap the Color Stops to make the Mask Editor a lighter color
Right-click on the Black Mask and add a Fill
Use a Concrete texture for the Fill
For a darker Texture, change the Blend Mode to Linear Dodge
Change the Balance as desired
Duplicate the dirt Layer and remove the options under the Black Mask
Rename this Layer to Edge
Right-click and add a Generator – using Curvature
Change the Layer Color to a lighter tone [#617586]
Increase the Global Blur, Balance, and Contrast
Add a new Layer and rename it to Dirt 02
Use only the Color and Roughness Channels
Change the Roughness
Right-click and add a Black Mask
Right-click on the Black Mask and add a Fill – using a Concrete Texture
Change the Color [#818A93]
Right-click on the Black Mask and add a Filter – using Blur Directional as the option
Add a new Fill Layer and rename it to Damage
Use only the Height Channel
Right-click and add a Black Mask
Right-click on the Black Mask and add a Fill – choosing a Texture
Select the Height and change the Height to add damage to the Material
Duplicate the Damage Layer
Remove the Black Mask
Change the Height option to a negative number
For the Height Texture – choose Cells
Change the Balance and Contrast to your desire
Saving
To save this Material, add a new Folder and rename it
Select all of your Layers and move them into the Folder
Right-click on the Folder and choose Create Smart Material
