How to use gravity with rigid body physics | Blender 3.5

In this tutorial I will show you exactly how to use gravity quickly and easily in Blender.

Gravity

Add a plane to the scene underneath the cube – this will act as a floor

Scale the plane to a larger size

Select the plane, open the physics tab, and select rigid body

Change the type to “passive” and change the shape to “mesh” – this will prevent the cube from going straight through the plane

Select the cube and click on rigid body

Move the cube up along the Z-Axis and rotate it

If you don’t already have the timeline open, split the viewport and open the timeline

Click on the play button in the Timeline

To add some bounciness to the cube, change the cube shape to “mesh” and the mass to 0.5

When you click on the play button notice that the cube now bounces

The higher the cube is placed, the more bounce you will see
